A personalized approach: Each women comes with a different background, starting point, and goals they'd like to reach. I aim to understand your unique situation with your lifestyle and challenges in mind to create a treatment plan for you that will give you the best chance of achieving your desired outcome.
Hands-on treatment: I use my extensive training and experience in manual therapy and myofascial release to get to the root of any joint or soft tissue issues causing your symptoms.
Empowerment through education : I believe that when we understand what is going on in our bodies and why, we have the best chance of restoring balance in the body. I love sharing research-backed, practical insights you can apply immediately in your daily life to improve your pelvic health.
A safe and supportive environment: My practice is non-judgemental, collaborative and trauma-informed.
After navigating my own postpartum return to running, I have a deeper understanding of the struggles that many women have with their pelvic health. I’m honoured to be able to work with women everyday and guide them in achieving better (pelvic) health.
I’m committed to supporting moms and all women so their pelvic health is not another thing they have to worry about in their day-to-day life and so they can get back to doing the things they love!
I have a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University (2007) and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo (2005). Through my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of patients - from high-level athletes looking to perform their best, to seniors recovering from orthopaedic surgery, to youth in a paediatric clinic.
I’ve continuously invested in my professional development to ensure that my care is aligned with the latest evidence, allowing me to guide you to the best outcomes. I continue to learn from expert physiotherapists around the world to enrich my practice. My certifications and training include orthopaedic manual therapy through the Advanced Integrative Musculoskeletal program, pelvic health, acupuncture and perinatal rehabilitation.
When I’m not working with patients, you’ll find me running, strength training, practicing yoga, snowboarding, reading, playing piano, trying new restaurants, or in the stands of a rink watching my kids participate in their sports.
